Education and Training (TAQA) Courses

Level 3 Award in Education and Training

 

 

Replacing preparing to teach in the lifelong learning (PTLLS). This qualification will prepare the learner for teaching adults arrange of subjects including in further education. This course is for anyone looking to teach adults and is most awarding offices pre-requisite to teach any of their courses.   The course is guided learning of 48 hours using the following options:

 

Option 1 – Fast Track: Paul R Salmon has designed fast track course that consist of blended learning (with full mentor support) for those that have teaching experience to completed 3 assignment worksheets & Lesson plan as well as prepare a teaching session for 30 minutes. The learner will then meet with their allocated professional qualified tutor to complete the assessment, this can be done in their own work environment or at an organised one-day assessment day.

 

Option 2 – 3 Day with Full Tutor Support: Paul R Salmon have put together a very popular 2 days training that is designed to support everyone from the individual with no teaching experience to experienced teachers. Our expert tutors will guide you from the assignment work sheets, lesson planning and development as well as develop you in to a competent and confident teacher.

For those looking to complete assessor qualifications then Paul R Salmon has designed the Level 3 Education and Training course to incorporate the theory elements of the assessor’s award and claim prior accredited learning towards the assessor’s awards.

Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training

Qualification Overview

The purpose of the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training is to provide the learner with the skills, knowledge and
understanding required to develop their practical teaching skills and prepare to work in a wide range of placements.

Qualification Structure
To achieve the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training learners must achieve a minimum of 36 credits. They must
complete 21 credits from Group M and achieve 15 credits from Group O1.
Qualification Documents
A Qualification Specification and Evidence Logbook is available to centres from our website www.futurequals.com.
However, specifications with indicative content or other guidance will be provided to centres upon learner registration.

Progression Opportunities
The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training can support progression on to the Level 5 Diploma in Education and
Training.

Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training

Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training provides aspiring teachers with the knowledge, understanding and skills relating to wider professional practice in education and training.

This qualification includes understanding professionalism and professional values in education and training, the policy context of education and training and the impact of being accountable to stakeholders and external bodies. This includes the organisational context of education and training and also includes understanding and contributing to the quality improvement and quality assurance arrangements of an organisation.

The FAQ Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training can support progression into employment as a
teacher or trainer and support further learning opportunities including, Bachelor of Arts (BA) or
Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment

 

Guided Learning Hours: 24 hours completed as opening learning with full mentor support.  This is the assessor’s theory unit only.

 

Paul R Salmon has designed this qualification for those who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of assessment without any requirement to practice as assessors.   

 

 

 

Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment

 

 

Guided Learning Hours: 54 hours completed as opening learning with full mentor support as well as face to face support with your qualified tutor / assessor.

 

Allows learners to assess non-simulated courses. This qualification is intended for those who assess occupational competence in an individual’s work environment.  It includes ability to for individuals to demonstrate assessment using a wide range of assessment methods. Anyone achieving this award will enable them to perform assessment activities within a work environment.  

 

 

 

Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement

 

 

Guided Learning Hours: 54 hours completed as opening learning with full mentor support as well as face to face support with your qualified tutor / assessor.

 

Allows learners to assess simulated courses. This qualification is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment. Anyone achieving this award will enable them to perform assessment activities in a working environment and classroom, workshop or other training environment.

 

 

 

Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

 

 

Guided Learning Hours: 84 hours completed as opening learning with full mentor support as well as face to face support with your qualified tutor / assessor.

 

Allows learners to assess simulated courses and non-simulated courses. Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement and Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment are condensed into one certificate.

Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes & Practice

 

 

Guided Learning Hours: 90 hours completed as opening learning with full mentor support as well as face to face support with your qualified tutor / assessor.  We have designed this training programme to give the learner the confidence and competency to work as an internal quality assurer (IQA) or internal verifier (IV). The qualifications cover both theory and practical requirements essential to being a successful IQA / IV.
