Workplace Trainers Certificate Synopsis

On conclusion of this programme, learners will come away with a Ofqual Accredited Level 3 Education and training Award and be able to train and assess learners in the following (providing you hold the prerequisites)

You can deliver the courses once licenced by PTDQ, for your own workplace and other companies, indidual and organisations. Flexible learning and delivery methods available throughout.

Programme Duration:

 5 Days, 40 hours contact with tutor and some self-study time depending on progress during the course.

Full Course Programme Timetable:  5 days approx. 09 am to 6 pm

Day 1 and Day 2 – Training for the Level 3 Award Education and training

Day 3 – First Aid trainers, Mental Health First Aid, Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Manual Handling, Fire Safety Delivering, Assessing

Day 4 – Mental Health First Aid, Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Manual Handling, Fire Safety Delivering, Assessing including learners’ complete assessments.

Day 5 – Trainer Support 1 to 1 and Assessments

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Accreditation

Learners that hold a Current Ofqual Level 3 Award in Education (Equivalent qualification or higher), with suitable CPD, will be accredited with 2 days towards the Workplace Trainers course. RPL Learners will be required to attend the last 3 days of the professional training course.

Prerequisites for Attendance:

  • Learners need to be 19 years of age or over as Ofqual Level 3 Award Education and Training Requirement.
  • A recognised First Aid at Work qualification (FAW) if wanting to be teaching first aid at work to your staff and learners.
  • Able to pass Food Safety or Health and safety, fire safety, manual handling, safeguarding, and mental health first aid courses.

Assessment Methods

  • Learners will produce a portfolio of evidence that includes assignments, session planning and course delivery.
  • Learners will be observed delivering session to their peers by their Professional Tutor.
  • Self-evaluations of teaching
  • Peer evaluations of a session you deliver.
  • Continuous observation during the course by Professional course Tutor.
